Dan joined the University of Kansas in 2013 as the Director of the Center for Research Computing (CRC). The CRC's role at KU is to help facilitate a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to research computing and to partner with the Universities of the Great Plains Network to help advance research computing. Dan is also the XSEDE Campus Champion who provides information on XSEDE (Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment) and cyberinfrastructure resources both local and national.

Prior to joining KU, Dan spent the past decade working in high performance research computing at the University of Miami and Florida State University.
